I am proud to be a citizen of Earth. I am like however many billions of others, waking each day, trying to make my time on the planet productive and beneficial to humans and animals, sometimes struggling to make ends meet and sometimes willing to splurge, if just to celebrate another day of this incarnation. I am just as happy being alone, deep in thought or lost in nature, as I am interacting with others. I believe that every day is a gift, and I feel that I have led a full and lucky life, thus far. A good day for me is one spent hiking, exploring something or someone new, kayaking, reading or writing a poem, taking time out from "work" to remember why I am doing it, or learning something. I love to read, to surf the web, watch or listen to a good baseball game (go Sox!), to eat foods derived from many, many cultures, and to see beauty wherever I look. Providence is a great city for all of this! Wherever you are reading this, please know that someone in the U.S. cares about you.
