I am 55, the mother of a daughter and a son, married for 30 years. I am owned by two dogs. I find inspiration everywhere -- in personal and guided meditation, through church outreach, helping to fight breast cancer through charitable events. I love most kinds of music and I read voraciously. My husband used to be a minister; now he is a truck driver after suffering a breakdown a few years ago. My son is finished university, earning a degree in computer science. My daughter is in her last year of high school. I have three younger sisters and both parents are doing well. I have recently had lapband surgery and have lost 80 pounds. I am more active, though I will need knee replacements when the weight is gone, plus surgery to remove excess skin.
