My mom found the Novica website when she was looking for items to decorate my wedding ceremony tablecloth (Sofreh Aghd). We needed the traditional candlesticks, mirror, and bowls to hold the symbolic objects (like decorated eggs, herbs, sweets, etc). My fiance and I wanted all of these traditional items on our sofreh aghd, but we wanted them to match our style. On Novica we found most of items we needed, including a beautiful hand painted mirror from Peru, Benjarong porcelain candlesticks, and brass, glass and marble bowls from India created by various artists. All the items are created by different artists in different countries, but the colors and patterns have a common theme and all go together in a unique way. So our sofreh will be truly multicultural, reflecting my background as well as our unique style. I can't wait to recieve everything, thank you artists and National Geographic!!
