I am a retired science teacher caring for my 85 year old mother. Our family has always had a great love of nature, especially flora and fauna. We live in Detroit where my late father was Senior Chief of the Fire Dept. We also have a beautiful condo on the beach in Marco Island Florida. I rescue animals, and currently have 2 dogs, 5 cats and 3 birds. I owned a beautiful Arabian horse (until he passed away) and we joined the Sheriff's Mounted Division. Horses and marine life as well as tropical birds fascinate me. Many of my fondest family memories are of the lake where my grandparents lived.
