I grew up all over the USA and lived in Europe and Central America. I was a Hospice and visiting nurse in my rural community but now am retired and looking after my elderly parents. I live in a very rural community on the banks of a 7 mile wide river flowing into Pamlico Sound. My village has 800 people and thousands of boats, mostly sail boats. We have a working harbour for shrimp, crab and fish. I live alone with 2 dogs. My only child is an environmental scientist working in Alaska and trying to save the world.
