About

Teacher

I love travel and learning about different cultures. Growing up during the Kennedy years taught me to care about others in our world, not merely those geographically close. Learning President Obama received the Nobel Peace Prize renews my hope for global harmony, and I wept as I read the news. As for my personal life, I come from a small family and have one grown son, who is aware his mother would like grandchildren some day. The students I teach n New Orleans are among the poorest in the city. Many teenagers who returned after the storm are trying to live on their own, with parents and siblings scattered in other states. They have a hard life. My dream is to go to Ghana or India and teach students there, to help them earn scholarships to universities, thus improving life for even more people. Certainly the rewards of such an experience would be many -- widening my own circle of friendships while learning first hand about other ways to live.

I love the "Dangle" earrings I purchased from Mr. Sarjana. They're both versatile and exotic, and I especially enjoy wearing them with my ethnic-style outfits. Mr. Sarjana does beautiful work. Whenever I visit the Novica web site, I always take pleasure in scrolling through Mr. Sarjana's latest offerings. Naturally, I look forward to buying more of his pieces in the future.
