Two rain forest acrylics by this talented young woman arrived today. Could they be so beautiful as the on-line pictures seemed to promise? They were more so. They shocked me with their sensitivity and detail, their intense celebration of creation and life, their sense of mystery. They were windows onto paradise. My wife had been sceptical: we raised children for so many years, and we still have to be careful about expenses beyond the necessities. Ms. Artini's work was so stunning, though, that my wife simply smiled. Whew! Then she began planning immediately how fit glass to preserve these extraordinary pieces of art.
